Antoine Pesenti to run London Marathon in aid of Ukraine Charity

Antoine Pesenti to run London Marathon in aid of Ukraine Charity

Ukraine Charity is grateful to Antoine who ran London Marathon on Sunday 17th April 2011. Please support Antoine’s initiative via http://www.justgiving.com/Antoine-Pesenti1 In Antoine’s words: “I am very glad to be able to donate to Ukraine Charity this year, as my wife comes from Ukraine. I love the country, love travelling it and love its people. I am fully supportive of the work Ukraine Charity does. It is sad to hear of harrowing stories of orphans’ exploitation and abuse in Ukraine. It is consoling to know there are Ukrainians who genuinely care and support them. In particular, I would like to support the charity projects of family-type home for orphans. I think it is one of the most effective ways to make a huge difference to the lives of those kids. It’s not about giving them expensive toys, nice clothes or all mod cons, though these are nice to have too. It is about giving them home: giving them an adult with whom they can build a relationship. That’s what family-type home does. It’s great we can support people who decided to take on such a role. And support those in Ukraine who supports and trains them.”
